Delirious Peril

When the body aches and yearns for
Solace, in a hazy, somnolent state;
Neither awake nor in slumber, a twilight
That instance, precious mind in delirium!

Wandering through the path of life,
Some beautiful memories revived,
And worst nightmares, re-enacted
Numb and paralyzed; in trauma!

Long lost dreams achieved in-style,
An affair, lost love, united in flamboyance,
Simple solutions to many a problem,
Mountains climbed and oceans crossed!

Mind, in trance, racing back and forth;
Life unfolding, with events, a smorgasbord,
The monkey mind, jumping along
Turning this ecstatic canvas, a quagmire!

Frenzied mind discharging it’s secrets,
To the deaf pillows; alas it know not,
Walls have ears and travel as lightening,
Treading cautiously, through delirious peril!
